OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION

Gifts made to Cleveland Central Catholic will support the more than 500 young men and women who prepare daily for their futures, as well as our efforts to empower them to be their best selves. We don’t want the inability to finance a Cleveland Central Catholic education to be the barrier for those who want to attend.

Please consider a gift that will make opportunities a reality for our young men and women. Thank you for your investment in our students. Your gift truly is transforming lives in our city and here at Central Catholic each day!

Cash By far the easiest and most common way to support Cleveland Central Catholic is to make an outright gift of cash. To donate online, please  use this link.

Pledges Pledges can be made with payments on a schedule that is completed
by June 30th, the end of the fiscal year.

Appreciated Securities - A gift of appreciated securities which you have owned for at least 12 months can benefit you in two ways. You can claim a charitable income tax deduction for the full value of the gift and you will avoid capital gains tax on the amount of appreciation that would have been due if you had sold the shares yourself. Donors are encouraged to consult their brokers or advisors. If you wish to transfer shares from a personal brokerage account to the account of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation, the donor must contact Smith Barney. Please alert the Development Department at 216-441-4700, ext. 224 of your intention to transfer stock or for any assistance you might need. We will give you the necessary contact information needed for the transaction. If you wish to donate a stock certificate held in your own name, a Stock Power Form and a Security Release Form will be sent for your notarized signature to complete the gift transfer. Per IRS rules, the value of the gift will be determined as of the notarization date of all properly executed forms.

Gifts in Kind - Gifts in kind afford you the opportunity to donate valuable items, property, or professional services to Cleveland Central Catholic High School.

Planned Gifts - Planned gifts include will/bequests, real estate, life insurance and charitable remainder trusts. Making a planned gift to Cleveland Catholic High School can be one of the easiest, most fulfilling ways to become a significant partner in the CCC mission.  If you are interested in blessing our school in a similar manner, please contact Development Director Michele Scoccola at  (216) 441-4700, ext. 224 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Matching Gifts - Many employers provide matching gifts for the charitable donations made by their employees. Please check to see if your company, or that of your spouse, has such a program. Your gift may be doubled
by simply completing a form available from your employer and sending it to the Development Office.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts - Family and friends often choose to honor a loved one, whether living or deceased, through a gift in their memory to Cleveland Central Catholic. This is a truly special gift in that it serves a two-fold purpose by honoring someone special, and it helps to further the mission of our school.

IRA Tax Free Savings - This year, Congress is giving you a unique opportunity to help Cleveland Central Catholic. If you are 70 ½ years of age or older, you can allocate your IRA distribution up to $100,000 (per person per year) directly to Cleveland Central Catholic and avoid the tax on your required IRA distribution. Talk to your tax professional for advice regarding this special way to support Cleveland Central Catholic.

Scholarship Support - Any size gift can be made to Cleveland Central Catholic’s scholarship fund.
Scholarships may also be named to memorialize a deceased or living family member, classmate or friend; named for a teacher, corporation or organization; commemorate a special occasion, class, or achievement.

Attend a special event - Proceeds from our annual Calcutta event in March helps bridge the tuition gap for a Cleveland Central Catholic student. Click here for more information.
