This course is modified to meet the needs of students with Individual Services Plans. It emphasizes the relationship God established with Israel through covenant and law and how God revealed his plan of salvation.

Catholic Beliefs, Values, Lifestyles & Sexuality
Grade Level: 9 - Required

Prepares students and helps them navigate toward a Christian and moral lifestyle. Provides students with answers and knowledge that will better prepare them to make good moral and value-based decisions.

New Testament I
Grade Level: 10 - Required

In this course emphasis is placed on the life of Jesus and the model he gives us for our everyday lives. This course acquaints students with modern biblical scholarship, and contemporary Christology in studying the Gospels.

New Testament II
Grade Level: 10 - Required

In this course emphasis is placed on the life of Jesus and the model he gives us for our everyday lives. This course acquaints students with modern biblical scholarship, and contemporary Christology in studying the Acts of the Apostles, the Letters and the Book of Revelation.

Students examine the development of the Christian Church from the time of Jesus through the Reformation and into the present day.

This course allows students to consider the broader perspective of religious experience as evident in the world's major religious traditions

Roman Catholic Beliefs
Grade Level: 12 - Required

Students are provided with the skills necessary to identify, articulate, analyze, and evaluate their own personal religious convictions.

Christian Lifestyles
Grade levels: 11/12 - Required Elective

Students compare and contrast different Christian lifestyles, identify practical steps in making a vocational choice, and develop ways to make lifelong decisions.

Theology & Film
Grade levels: 11/12 - Required Elective

Students identify the impact contemporary film has on Christian belief. They also examine spiritual, theological, moral, and societal issues in film.

 

Cleveland Central Catholic High School provides a comprehensive curricular program, offering a variety of course sequences which exceed state requirements. These offerings proved intellectual and cultural experiences for the college-bound and the career-oriented.

A program of studies is a sequence of classes that a student will usually take while at Cleveland Central Catholic High School. These programs consist of many required classes with some elective options. Programs or studies are designed to assist students in meeting their potential and in receiving more direction to course selection.
