Our Mission:
"Rooted in Gospel values and Catholic tradition, Cleveland Central Catholic High School educates culturally diverse young men and women of our city and challenges them to deepen their faith to responsibly serve God, church and community."
|
|
Our History:
In 1968, four of Cleveland's urban Catholic high schools merged to form Cleveland Central Catholic High School (CCCHS).
Those four schools were Our Lady of Lourdes, St. John Cantius, St. Michael and St. Stanislaus. CCCHS maintained all four school buildings in a unique four campus facility until two of the campuses closed in 1976 and 1988. The consolidation of the Scranton Campus (St. Michael's) and
capital improvements to the Forman
Campus (St. Stanislaus) took place in 2003.

Our Future:
The Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Cleveland have announced the appointment of Mr. Karl Ertle as new President/Principal of Cleveland Central Catholic High School, starting with the 2004 - 2005 school year. Mr. Ertle, former Vice-President of St. Ignatius High School, will act as administrator and primary Catholic faith leader for the school community. He will be responsible for expanding the present school campus and creating new channels for stakeholder involvement in the education of inner city youth.
Ertle will lead Cleveland Central Catholic High School in several new strategic initiatives. "My goal is to celebrate the mission and the special people who compose Cleveland Central Catholic," he said. "I think it's the best kept secret in the city." |
