Mr. Len Piechowski

Until this past September, Len was retired from a long career in ministry, business, the medical field and education. For over five decades, he has been able to change careers that align with his interests. When retirement was getting a bit boring, Len was reading through his email and noticed he had a message from our principal, Sr. Allison Marie, "Sister Allison emailed me asking if I would consider teaching science. I took a day to think it over, and decided that CCC was the place for me." Len graduated from Quincy University with a degree in Sociology but always felt a kinship with the classroom. Teaching at Cleveland Central Catholic has been exciting because it's allowed Len to focus on teaching science. "I enjoy teaching at CCC very much. It has given me the opportunity to return to a focus on science, a field, I love very much. The field of science has come to my rescue several times during my life and I never cease to be amazed by what we can learn about our world and our place in it." Len grew up in Garfield Heights and graduated from Chanel High School. He is the oldest of three children. Len has an adopted son and is the proud grandfather of two grandchildren. What he's looking forward to while teaching at CCC is to continue developing our students for successful careers and life. "I'm happy to be part of what we do here at our school."
