This week our Class of 2023 sat inside Playhouse Square for Cliff47's FilmSlam. FilmSlam is Cleveland's International Film Festival's media literacy program for students in grades 5-12.
Students watch six short films and are given a study guide with pre/post questions. They have the opportunity to critique messages they perceived while engaging in thought-provoking dialogue with each other. Following each screening, students also have a 15-20 minute Q&A with the filmmaker.
