Students from the Junior and Senior classes were accompanied by teacher chaperones to Camp Asbury, in Hiram, Ohio for three days of spiritual reflection. Kairos, a Greek term meaning, “God’s time” created the perfect time for students to rekindle, and deepen their personal relationships with God.
During the retreat, teachers stood before the students and shared personal testimonies about difficulties they have faced in their lives. They talked about how God helped them through those difficult times. Student leaders separated participants into groups and discussed a variety of subjects to allow everyone to feel comfortable to open up. The leaders helped create a judgment-free zone where students were able to share their feelings and tell personal stories about their lives.
