Cleveland Central Catholic High School is proud to host the 23rd Annual Calcutta fundraiser on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Calcutta is our largest and most impactful fundraiser of the year, raising approximately $150,000 annually in support of our students and our mission. This signature event directly funds tuition assistance and academic programming, ensuring that students from underserved communities have access to a high-quality, faith-centered Catholic education. Through the generosity of our supporters, CCCHS is able to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent students from accessing an education rooted in Gospel values, character formation, and academic excellence.

Calcutta includes both a live auction of the higher-seeded teams in the men's NCAA basketball tournament, as well as a silent auction featuring the lower-seeded teams. Guests bid on teams either individually or as part of a "syndicate", with the hope that their teams progress and eventually win the tournament. Winning bids from both the live and silent auction generate a pool of money, which is divided as follows: 40% to support tuition assistance at CCCHS, with the remaining 60% to create a prize pool to be paid to the winning bidders.

Sponsors and guests are in the “starting lineup” for our students’ futures and, in many cases, helping deliver the game-winning shot that opens doors to opportunity. Participation in Calcutta is an investment not only in an event, but in the lives of young men and women being prepared for success in college, career, and life.
